LEARNING GOAL #3 - Introduction to Microsoft PowerPoint: Students will be able to work with a team, form an outline, then build and share a multi-slide presentation using a variety of features from Microsoft PowerPoint 2016.
LESSON OVERVIEW: You are all finished! Well, almost. With everything you have done between the beginning of the semester and now, you probably feel like everything has been a whirlwind. So much work that you don’t even know what you know. Today is your final shot at proving what you know, but this will also be a chance for you to reflect on what you have learned, see how far you have come, and wind down from a busy semester. Take a deep breath and be prepared to ace your Final Exam.
DAILY SCHEDULE (85 MINUTES): PART 1: SOLO WORK (10-20 Minutes) PART 2: CLASS DISCUSSION / NEW MATERIAL (30-50 Minutes) PART 3: DAILY ACTIVITY (10-20 Minutes) PART 4: CLOSING (5 Minutes)
PART 1: SOLO WORK Step 1: Find your assigned computer Step 1a: Classroom helper pass out name tags Step 2: Log on to your assigned computer Step 3: Go to and log on to your typingweb.com account Step 4: Begin your next typing practice lesson Step 5: Remember, you are trying to reach at least 15 WPM on each of the Beginner Lessons (all 9 of them)
PART 2: CLASS DISCUSSION / NEW MATERIAL Step 1: Go to the class discussion web site Step 2: Begin reading new lesson material until class discussion activity start Step 3: Once the class discussion activity starts, follow along on the web site and be prepared to read the material out loud to the class
PART 4: CLOSING Step 1: Classroom helper collect and put away name tags Step 2: Close all open applications (Microsoft Office applications, web sites, etc.) Step 3: Gracefully shut down your computer Step 4: Turn off your display Step 5: Push your chair under the desk and pick up any trash
