LEARNING GOAL #2 - Introduction to Microsoft Word: Students will be able to conduct online research, evaluate/cite sources, and type a one-page research paper using multiple features of Microsoft Word 2016.
LESSON OVERVIEW: The entire purpose of becoming good at using Office Technology is to become a better student in other classes with our papers, research, book reports, presentations, and all kinds of other things we might use a computer for in Middle and High School. But if we are going to become good at writing documents, we need to understand the value of proofreading; our ability to spot errors and make a document look presentable. It is not enough to just type some words on a page and say we are done. The document needs to look good for the person who will be reading it (a teacher, a boss, a parent, etc). In today’s class, we will be looking more closely at the process of proofreading.
