LEARNING GOAL: The Language of Office TechnologyStudents will understand all basic terminology of office and internet technology and be able to speak the language when working within a computer classroom.
LESSON OVERVIEW: Several years ago, when you were just starting out in elementary school, most adults figured that “texting” was just a popular fad that would soon fade away. Much to our surprise, “texting” has become one of the most popular methods for fast communication with friends, family members, and even co-workers. But like typing, “texting” almost always requires the use of the thumbs, which you normally use for the space bar on the keyboard. This lesson is all about strengthening your thumbs and recognizing the similarities between the QWERTY keyboard and the QWERTY textboard on your phone.
