LEARNING GOAL: The Language of Office TechnologyStudents will understand all basic terminology of office and internet technology and be able to speak the language when working within a computer classroom.
LESSON OVERVIEW: We have kept ourselves pretty busy with websites, new vocabulary, quizzes, and typing over the last few weeks of school. This is the last day of vocabulary (next week is your last Vocabulary Quiz) and then we will move into some other types of writing that do not require definitions. Like the last class, today will include some tips on how to borrow images from the Web and how to borrow them legally.

PART 1: SOLO WORK Step 1: Find your assigned computer Step 1a: Classroom helper pass out name tags Step 2: Log on to your assigned computer Step 3: Go to and log on to your typingweb.com account Step 4: Begin your next typing practice lesson Step 5: Remember, you are trying to reach at least 15 WPM on each of the Beginner Lessons (all 9 of them)
PART 2: CLASS DISCUSSION / NEW MATERIAL Step 1: Go to the class discussion web site Step 2: Begin reading new lesson material until class discussion activity start Step 3: Once the class discussion activity starts, follow along on the web site and be prepared to read the material out loud to the class

PART 5: HOMEWORK Homework #6 is a writing assignment related to Lessons 1.11.

For this writing assignment you are to write a reflection on one of your previous four journal assignments. Specifically, in this writing assignment you should describe what you did well during your original writing assignment along with what you could have done better. Also, discuss previous writing feedback provided by your teacher. This writing assignment should be a minimum of three paragraphs in length.
